After eating cookies, chocolate, and holiday treats for the past few weeks, I feel like I am in SWEETS OVERLOAD. Was anyone else secretly waiting for Thanksgiving shenanigans to be over so you could make Texas Chili and cornbread like on Top Chef last week? Don’t get me wrong, I loved the turkey and gravy, but ever since I saw the episode last Wednesday I have been excited to make chili.

This was the hardest food photo shoot I have ever had because I could not stop eating these green beans. They are so addictive!
This dish has great umami flavor from the soy sauce and a spicy kick from the chili flakes. I blanched the beans first and then sautéed them. Using this method ensures perfectly cooked green beans that are not overly done and still a bit crunchy!
